The three Honda cars up for grabs in the Airteel deedew promo
Airtel Ghana has launched a national consumer promotion dubbed ‘Dὲὲdὲw’ (Akan for ‘sweet’) with three brand new Honda cars on offer for customers to win, including a Honda CRV SUV as ultimate prize.
The three month promotion started on December 1, 2012 and ends on February 28, 2013.
Managing Director of Airtel Ghana, Philip Sowah said at a media launch Airtel Ghana had strategically placed the promotion at the tail end of the year running into the first two months of the following year to make this Christmas a great one for Airtel customers.
“At Airtel, we do not merely want to fit into Ghana’s telecommunication space, but we strive to stand out in the industry. That is why we have consistently offered some of the lowest tariffs and gone on to make our network better by using state of the art equipment so our customers are able to truly enjoy our services and products,” Sowah said.
He said aside the three cars, Airtel is also offering its loyal customers cash, tickets to watch Arsenal FC play at the Emirates in London, and some Samsung high end devices in the promotion.
Philp Sowah also announced that winners will be selected through 9 weekly wins, adding that the top winner for every week would be the customer with highest accumulated points from all legs of usage for that week.
He said 100 customers will be rewarded weekly, and there will also be two monthly wins with and those winners would be customers with the highest accumulated points for the 4 weeks in the first month.
“Month 2 will include points accumulated from the previous month, and 100 customers will be rewarded. The Grand Draw will see the total points gathered from months 1, 2 and 3 and that will be used to select the overall winners. Again 100 customers will be rewarded,” he said.
Patrick Nathan Ofosu, Senior Marketing Manager for Acquisition at Airtel Ghana said “if non-Airtel customers want to take part all they need do is simply buy Airtel SIM cards and activate to earn points. Customers earn points by recharging with either scratch cards or through Airtel Money /Pre-Tups to earn points. Points are accumulated via daily usage – Voice, Data, SMS, Airtel Money Transactions”, he said.
Mr. Ofosu added that customers can multiply their daily points by 5 when they meet their daily Obolobo 5X target.
Chief Operating Officer of Airtel Ghana, Mrinal Roy, reiterated Airtel’s commitment to rewarding loyal customers and attracting new ones through products and services that are relevant.
